Transgulf (Pte) Ltd., a leading manpower recruitment establishment in Colombo bagged the Silver Award for the Most Outstanding Licensed Foreign Employment Agent for the year 2001.

The inaugural ceremony took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Colombo Hilton on October 21, under the patronage of Mahinda Samarasinghe (Minister of Employment & Labour, and chief govt. whip). Transgulf (Pte) Ltd., began its operations in 1990. Apart from securing overseas employment, the company is also aggressively involved in community services which includes Foreign Employment awareness programme with the assistance of the Divisional Secretariat throughout the Island.

Transgulf has already completed over 50 such awareness programmes in the districts of Galle, Hambantota, Monaragala, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura and Kegalle. The awareness programme still continues to be in effect. The Managing Director Mr. M. M. Thasleem with the management & staff of Transgulf (Pte) Ltd, with the award.
