"NHK Newsline" telecast at 8.30 a.m. from Monday to Friday on MTV is a 10-minute English news program that gives a full and detailed coverage of fast changing developments both in Japan and abroad. "Weekend Japanology" telecast at 4.15 p.m. on Fridays on Sirasa TV is a new English program for worldwide broadcast, that brings often-neglected aspects of the Japanese society and culture into light.
