Tickets are priced at 200 rupees per head and from the looks of things bungalows are already being booked in a frenzy by ardent rock fans so that they could some day say....Yes I was there! Join Rock Company on the last leg of a ground breaking tour and be a part of this awesome event so that you may claim a piece of the legacy....when the hills will be set on fire by the best of Sri Lankan rockers. Word is out that two of the bands billed to perform at Boathouse have been invited by an Indian rock concert promoter for a two month tour of India. So it may well be your last chance to see them perform for a while. Rockfest at Boathouse is geared to be a great happening event when the clarion call of Sri Lankan originality licks the skies 5 pm on Saturday April 10, the perfect kickoff for a holiday in the hills. Nuwara Eliya's traditionally been the place to cool off during the hot season, but this time around you can leave your sweaters behind - the collective fury unleashed at the Rockfest Trinity's grand finale will generate enough heat to keep you warm through the night. So all you Rock lovers 'Run to the hills' (with apologies to Iron Maiden) cause you gotta be there.... The Lotus Eater (A.P.) |
