Nilwala Harasara from Dec. 5-12

'Nilwala Harasara', a series of felicitations to hail President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga on the completion of 10 years in office will be held in Matara from December 5 to 12.

The 'felicitations organised by the 'Nilwala Foundation' is guided by Matara district MP and Ports and Aviation, Information and Media Minister and Education Deputy Minister Mangala Samaraweera.

According to the organisers the function is organised to hail the President on her enormous service to the Southern province and Matara district during last 10 years. The felicitations will begin with a `Gangarohana Pooja' at the Nilwala river.

A Ruhunu sports carnival organised by the Youth and Sports Ministry, a historic Ruhunu cultural festival organised by the National Heritage and Cultural Affairs Ministry and an Ayurveda medical clinic organised by the Indigenous Health Ministry are also included in the felicitation ceremony.
