Former Chinese envoy expresses sympathies to those affected
Qinzheng in a special message has said he wished to share the grief with the affected communities in Sri Lanka at the time the country has declared a national day of mourning following the catastrophe. He has said he is confident that the people of Sri Lanka would join hands and rise up to the occasion to overcome their sorrow with the power and greatness of compassion forgetting differences as to race, caste, creed or political affiliations. "I always consider Sri Lanka as my second home and I will do everything within my means to assist Sri Lanka and its people in the national rebuilding effort following this unexpected catastrophe" Quinzheng has further stated in his message written in Sinhala. |

Former Chinese Ambassador in Sri Lanka Jiang Qinzheng has expressed his
shock and grief over the extensive damage to life and property caused by
the tidal wave in Sri Lanka and extended his deepest sympathies to the
people affected by the natural disaster and the families of the dead and
missing persons.
