Maldivian contributes Rs. 5 million for SL tsunami victims

Qasim Ibrahim, Chairman of Villa Shipping and Trading Company donated a sum of Rupees five million for the President's Fund for disaster relief.

Qasim Ibrahim was the founder member of the Maldives Association of Tourism industry and Maldives National Chamber of Commerce. He was the former president of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The cheque for Rs. 5 million on behalf of Villa Foundation for the Tsunami victims of Sri Lanka was handed over to Foreign Minister Lakhsman Kadirgamar by Mr. Ibrahim at the Foreign Ministry last week, before his departure for Hajj.
