Please help save a life

Mrs. N. G. Shanthilekha, employee of ANCL (Lake House), stationed at Kataragama Branch Office, is severely ill and have undergone several surgeries without success and presently warded at the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama undergoing treatment.

It is said that large sums of money will have to be raised for her treatments and the Doctor treating her advised her to have several injections for months, and it costs over Rs. 42,000 for doses per month.

He has two children aged 5 1/2 years and 2 1/2 years old. Her Husband is unable to bear the cost of these injections and other drugs and hence a bank account in her name (N. G. Shanthilekha) has been opened in the Bank of Ceylon Branch, Tissamaharama A/c No. 1-0355864.

Readers and the kind-hearted public may contribute their mite to this meritorious deed to save her innocent life.

Dr. Y.K.M.L. Lahi specialist of Nawaloka Hospital says that 2 years and 8 months old Supun Jayatilleke of No. 57/2 Medamahanuwara, Wathuliyadda is suffering from a critical heart ailment, and he should be subjected to surgery which will cost Rs. 260,000.

It is also verbally stated that another Rs. 175,000 is needed for medicine and other expenses. The parents humbly appeal to the general donors for help as they are without permanent employment or sufficient income to meet these expenses. Help needed

A young man, M.M. Hamjad of 65/4 Zahira College Road, Dharga-Town is suffering from acute heart ailment. Consultant surgeon at Apollo Hospitals Dr. K. Prasad has recommended urgent heart surgery to save his life.

The surgery is estimated to cost Rs. 380,000/-

Hamjad's family is unable to foot this bill, due to their own financial plight. They request philanthropists and the general public to assist Hamjad with contributions possible to help expedite the surgery.
