Help trace this tsunami victim

A Sri Lankan expatriate domiciled in United States and working in the US public school system for over 35 years as a social worker, seeks public help to find out the Sri Lankan tsunami victim whose snap was published in the New York Post. She is currently in Sri Lanka at room number 147 of the Galle Face Hotel.

Ever since she saw the snap flashing on the International media, she wanted to help this child. She is also an animal welfare activist featured in two documentary films. She believes that the child may have been photographed at Ahungalle.

The photograph named the child as Nine-year-old Asitha Fernando. Any information regarding the child could be sent to her postal address: Chitra Besbroda, 855, Westend Avenue, New York 10025.
