YESL to celebrate 10th anniversary
The Young Entrepreneurs Sri Lanka (YESL), the franchise-holder of
Junior Achievement Worldwide will celebrate the 10th anniversary and its
presentation of awards tomorrow at the BMICH.
Awards will be presented to the outstanding President, the runner-up,
director finance, marketing, human resource management and CSR. Awards
will also be presented to the outstanding principal, the best planner
and for the best Annual Report of the year.
President, YESL, Patrick Amarasinghe said the organisation plans to
introduce the company's program to around 10 percent of the school
student population by 2013.
"The YESL program which is based on real life company experiences
helps students to build confidence, be independent, understand business
concepts and communicate in English", he said.
The YESL program is approved by the Ministry of Education and is
offered free to students of primary, middle and upper levels.
He said the YESL will introduce its program to schools in the Eastern
province in January.
The program which is followed in over 300 schools has helped students
to learn English and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
The YESL program includes teaching economics, business and
entrepreneurship development. |
