Screenline expands global operations

The largest apparel embellishment company for the fashion industry in
South Asia: Screenline Group of Companies commenced their much
anticipated operations in Chennai on August 4. The Chennai plant at
Bannari Amman Apparel Facility in Kanchipuram - was inaugurated by Ms.
Sharen Turney Chief Executive Officer of Victoria’s Secret on her first
visit to India as CEO in the presence of Martin Trust, President of
Brandot International USA.
Turney expressed her support for the new Screenline venture. By
locating in the same complex as the intimate apparel manufacturer,
Screenline can help deliver the fashion that the customer wants, when
she wants it. Speed means what the customer wins, and the brand wins
means what the supplier partners win. We are excited about India and the
fact that the long time partners from around the world are expanding
their operations in India.
Victoria’s Secret the largest valued customer of the Screenline Group
and Screenline serves the prestigious global brand in the whole region.
Active in kaleidoscopic design techniques and mass volume productions of
a wide range of prints and embellishments with iconic status for many
leading brands of the world, Screenline today owns and strategically
operates seven fabric embellishment plants in Sri Lanka, including two
in India, one in Bangladesh, one in Vietnam; with a development centre
in South Korea. The company has plans to expand into other apparel
manufacturing countries and regions and be the one-stop solution for
Embellishments of international apparel brands and manufacturers.
Chairman of the Group Carlo Thumbawila said Our vision for Screenline is
to be the largest embellishment company in Asia by 2015 and the leading
Global Embellisher by 2020. Screenline is the only Sri Lankan
embellishment company which has expanded its services out of the
country.
