Chief suspect of child abduction case nabbed

The man who is responsible for the abduction of four-year-old Pamara Keshani Bandara in Ambakolatenna was arrested by the police this afternoon, the police said. The suspect who fled his home after his brother informed the police about the child the former was hiding yesterday evening was at large since then.

 

Pope to celebrate mass in Colombo

Ornamental fish breeder electrocuted

Walana Panadura Anti Vice Squad carried out a raid in Dharmarama Road in Dematagoda this afternoon and seized Rs.2 million worth of cigarettes smuggled into the country, the police said.

14 injured in expressway bus accident

At least 14 passengers sustained injuries when a private bus crashed into a CTB bus parked at the toll gate of the Pinnaduwa exit on Southern Expressway yesterday afternoon, the police said.
