Restrictions on IDPs lifted from December 1

Displaced Persons (IDPs), Senior Presidential Advisor and Chairman
of the Task Force for Northern Development Basil Rajapaksa MP said
that all restrictions on Internally Displaced Persons in the Wanni
will be lifted from December 1.

Former Aussie FM disputes ‘refugee’ claims by boat people

Switzerland to arrive at a ‘common ground’ on issues affecting the
minorities in the island nation to negotiate with the Government,
according to Social Welfare Minister and EPDP Leader Douglas

ACHC hails President
The All Ceylon Hindu Congress (Federation of
Hindu Religious Associations and Trust in Sri Lanka) has lauded

A gang of eight in motor cycles snatching gold chains from women was taken into custody by Wellawa Police. According to Police, the gang had been operating in several villages in the Kurunegala district and had robbed gold chains over Rs. 500,000.
