Schoolboy Cricketer show on Tuesday

The 37th Sunday Observer Schoolboy Cricketer Of The Year show will be held on July 28 (Tuesday) at the Galadari Main Ball Room commencing at 5.30 pm. Former Sri Lanka south paw batsman and well known commentator Russel Arnold will be the chief guest. Forty six awards are at stake

 

340 long-term observers in each DS Division - PAFFREL

Gas, rice prices down

The price of LP gas will be reduced by Rs 100 per 12.5 kg domestic cylinder, Samba rice to Rs. 69 and Nadu rice to Rs 60 per kilogram with effect from July 15, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake announced yesterday.

Polls Chief says: No proxy candidates

STF finds arms cache, Fonseka’s posters at temple

The Special Task Force personnel recovered 54 hand grenades and two T-56 rifles from a temple in Colombo yesterday. Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara confirmed that the grenades and assault rifles were recovered from Bodhirajarama Temple in Maligawatte last evening.
