Majority support certain for Constitutional Amendments
Over 164 MPs including 10 from the UNP, will support
the Constitutional Amendments to be presented in Parliament this week,
informed sources said. Four UNP MPs namely Lakshman Seneviratne, Earl
Gunasekera, Manusha Nanayakkara and Abdul Cader announced last week that
they would support the Constitutional Amendments.

for the government, Health Minister, SLFP General Secretary Maithripala
Sirisena said. The constitutional amendments would not witness the end

TNA decision tomorrow
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) will announce its
decision on the proposed 18th Amendment tomorrow, its General Secretary
Mavai Senadhirajah MP told the Sunday Observer.
