SriLankan 'Wings' for cadet pilots
SriLankan Airlines recent batch of cadet pilots were awarded "Wings'
when they passed out as Junior First Officers recently.
A batch of 2010 untrained pilots underwent a stringent one-year
training program before qualifying to fly with the national carrier, and
obtained a CAASL licence (Civil Aviation Authority) - a globally
The nations' flag carrier recruits two cadet batches each year for
training and has a strength of 267 pilots serving in its cadre.
