Sir Rowland Hill

Sir Rowland Hill was a great man who was born on 3rd December 1795 in Blackwell Street in England. His father was Thomas Wright Hill. Sir Rowland was a school teacher, social reformer and a postal administrator. The Albert Medal was initiated in honour of Sir Rowland 1864. He introduced the first postage stamp and the modern postal system. Sir Rowland Hill passed away on 27th December 1979 at the age of 83. But he lives in our hearts forever.
