CR & FC virtually thrashed a hapless CH and FC by 62 points (10 tries, 6 conversions) to 3 (1 drop goal) in their Dialog ‘A’ Division inter-club league rugby second round match played at CR & FC grounds, Longden Place yesterday. At half time CR led 24-nil.
It was an awesome performance orchestrated by CR and FC speedy winger Randitha Warnapura who scored two breathtaking tries to go along with two brilliant tries scored by forward Charana Chamikara. CR amply demonstrated a fabulous display of fast open rugby through their three quarters, while CH struggled to tackle and was totally dominated in the set pieces by the young and energetic Red shirt forwards who combined effectively with their entire three quarter line and totally dominated the game. CR simply over ran the opposition at every given opportunity throughout the entire game.
For the winning CR & FC team the tries were scored by winger Randitha Warnapura and Charana Chamikara (two each), Kavindu de Costa (one), Shameer Fajudeen (one), Rehan Silva (one), Tariq Saleih (one), Avishka Heenpalla (one) and Anuradha Herath (one). Reeza Mubarak put over six conversions.Rohitha Rajapaksa put over the solitary drop goal for CH.
