Romeo and Juliet

22 January, 2017

William Shakespeare is the best English writer of all time. He is well known for his plays which are staged even today. Some of his famous plays are Othello, The Merchant of Venice, Macbeth and The Tempest. Shakespeare's plays are set in the Renaissance period in the late sixteenth century and early seventeenth century. His characters include heroes, heroines, lovers, villains, kings and queens.

My favourite play of Skakespeare's is Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet are two young lovers who are not allowed to have a relationship by their feuding families. In the end, Romeo and Juliet have to die to gain peace between their two families. Although they don't know it, both lovers sacrifice themselves. This story is very interesting. It's unbelievable at the beginning, but in the end, it's sorrowful. The plays of Shakespeare are also popular in modern times.
