Maris Stella College will meet Hameed Al Husseinie College in the final of the President’s Cup Inter-School Football Tournament 2017 at Racecourse grounds 4.00 p.m. today.
In the semi-finals Maris Stella College Negombo beat De Mazenod College Kandana by 3-2 while Hameed Al Husseinie College Colombo beat Zahira College Puttalam by 6 goals to nil.
The champion team will receive the President’s Trophy, medals and certificates and runner-up will also receive a trophy, medals and certificates.
There will be awards for the Most Valuable Player, Best Goal Keeper and Highest Goal Scorer of the tournament. The tournament is organized by Hameed Al Husseinie College Colombo Group of 80’s. President Maithripala Sirisena will be the chief guest.
