I want to be a surgeon

5 February, 2017

My name is Budmi Janithi Senethma. I am 12 years old. My goal is to become a surgeon. I think that it is a vital job. I want to treat all my patients well. I like to perform operations and cure my patients. I will spend some time with my patients and talk to them. Talking itself helps cure a person a lot. I will discuss their health problems and make them feel happy. I will study hard to achieve my goal in life. I will help build a healthy generation when I fulfil my dream.

Hope, wish, fantasy….

Call it what you may, everyone dreams of being someone or doing something different when they grow up. Some dream of being astronauts, rocket scientists, space explorers… Some dream of being clowns, comedians and running away to a circus. Still others wish to be lawyers, doctors, cricketers or superstars.

The sky, as they say, is the limit to your dreams… But what’s the

fun if you keep it all to yourself? So why not put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, and share with us what you dream of being, when you grow up? You can mail your dreams, along with your photograph to husnakghs@

yahoo.com or send it by snailmail to ‘Junior Observer’, No. 35, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
