Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Limited launched its first 1000 cc new vehicle – Wigo, at the Ceylon Motor Show at the BMICH recently.

Introduced to serve a clear market need for a high-quality yet affordable, comfortable and safe, brand-new entry level car, the Wigo is designed with the modern family and young executive in mind, the company said in a press release.

The car though small is marketed as fun and easy to drive whether it is for a beginner or seasoned driver. The Wigo gives an ample amount of legroom for the backseat passengers and also has a spacious rear luggage compartment. It also comes fully equipped with Radio/CD/MP3 with USB and Aux, power windows and door-locks, standard airbags and an Anti-lock Breaking System. The vehicle runs on a 1L in-line 3 cylinder DOHC engine that guarantees high fuel efficiency and carries a 4-speed automatic transmission.
