The State Drama Festival 2017 organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs and State Drama Advisory Board, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs will be staged at the Town Hall Theatre, Maradana, daily from February 15 to February 28.
This year 10 mega stage dramas and 14 short dramas are selected for the final round which will be stage on the following dates:
Mega dramas will be staged at 6.30 p.m. while the short plays will be staged at 5.30 p.m.

February 16 - Girikoota Kashyapa by Akila Sapumal
February 17 - Nethiwa Beri Minihek by Rajitha Dissanayake
February 18 - Media by Saman Soyza
February 19 - Maa Ghaatho by L.P. Sarath Ranatunge
February 20 - Love and Life by S.I. Samarakkody
February 21 - Premawantha Kumarayo by Priyankara Ratnayake
February 22 - Silgath Billo by Vijith Nuwan
February 23 - Maara Horu by Anura Withanachchi
February 24 _ Mr. W. alias Last Days of Attanayake by M. Aurin Chamara Mendis and Nishadi Palansooriya.

February 27 - Sinha Seya by Sachithra Rahubadda; Thavippin Theda; by J.A. Domin Reginald; Swarna Bhoomi by R. Sudharshana Chrishantha.
