Famous Five is one of the most famous series written by Enid Blyton. My favourite book in this series is Five Go To Demon’s Rocks. It was first published in 1969 by Hodder and Stoughton. The main characters in the book are George, Anne, Julian, Dick and a dog named Timmy. George is not a boy, and her real name is Georgiana. I like the dog Timmy as much as the others.

The story begins with George’s father Quentin’s friend Professor Hayling and his son Tinker’s visit to Kirrin Cottage. The famous five and Tinker go on a trip to the lighthouse in Demon’s Rocks. Tinker’s pet monkey, Mischief runs far away and disappears. Mischief leads the children to a hidden treasure. I like this story because it is very mysterious and adventurous.
