Big Matches Ban!

With due respect to the Senior Buddhist Clergy calling for a Ban of the Big matches which had been played for centuries, why try to stop the sporting activities of these big colleges which produce National Players who put Sri Lanka on the World Map and brought fame to our country.

“Prevention is better than cure” So goes the saying. If consumption of liquor is taboo at sports activities, then it is up to the Principals and the Academic staff of these colleges to instill the good conduct of their students and bring a good name to their respective colleges.

De people realize that the highest consumption of liquor is on Poya-days (Friends meet for a go!) and a long queue at the liquor shops the day prior to Poya! Instead of instilling the good morales of these religious teachings - “The Good and the Bad”, stopping sports activities will only make these future citizens a lazy lot!

In almost all places of worship 90% is elderly peoples attendance. Why cannot the religious sector go all out to lure the younger generation for these worship and teachings, so that they will keep away from these social evils of liquor, and drugs.

The Law makers and those in authority will be responsible for the best baheviours of these sports fun loving youth. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.

As I mentioned above social networks offer multiple benefits and we must highly appreciate those facilities. Nevertheless the use of these service carriers many drawbacks as well. The key disadvantage is theft information or risk of fraud. Some people such as hackers enable to holdup personel or secrete information by social media and deliver fake info.

Addiction is another shortcoming. Today it is a trend that each people have a mobile device to access Facebook or other social network from any location in the world using cloud computing rapidly. Therefore especially teenagers are isolated with their own fantasies with iPhone, tab or whatever it is and no care about outward.
