Joes humble Zahira 38-14

St. Joseph’s did not encounter any major resistance as they powered their way to a comfortable 38 points to 14 win against Zahira in their Singer Inter-Schools Under-20 League Rugby Tournament second-round match played at Welisara yesterday.

The winners had their own way in registering a smashing win as they crossed the Zahira line on not less than six occasions. The Joes collected their points from one goal, five tries and two penalties while Zahira managed to score only two tries.

St. Joseph’s began proceedings with a perfect start got off to a great start as they enjoyed an 18-0 lead at the half time through three tries and a penalty.

Zahira tried their level best in the second half to hit back and were rewarded with two tries and managed to convert both tries. St. Joseph’s continued with their threatening moves in the second half too, adding three more tries and also firing across another penalty to make sure that Zahira does not stand a chance at all.
