Large lobster boards plane, no questions asked

TSA agents are used to crabby passengers - but this is totally cray!

A traveler brought a humongous 20-pound live lobster onto a flight at Boston’s Logan Airport Sunday - and it’s totally legal, according to the agency.

The agency’s spokesman tweeted a photo of a grinning agent holding the colossal crustacean by its claws Monday, and added that the mammoth mollusk was given the all-clear to continue on to its JetBlue flight.

“The lobster was traveling in a cooler in checked luggage and was allowed to continue,” tweeted TSA Spokesman Michael McCarthy.

Passengers can also bring the future sandwich-stuffers in carry-on luggage so long as they’re in sealed containers, according to the agency - although it seems a little shellfish.

Lobsters are actually pretty frequent fliers from New England terminals, according to CBS Boston.

The TSA even has an entire page on its website dedicated to lobsters.

“A live lobster is allowed through security and must be transported in a clear, plastic, spill proof container. A TSA officer will visually inspect your lobster at the checkpoint,” the instruction page reads.
