I wish to be a doctor

9 July, 2017

My name is Sadewa Induwara. I am six years old. I live in Kandana. I attend DeMazenod College, Kandana. I am in Grade 1. My dream is to become a doctor so that I can treat my family members, friends and patients. It will give me happiness when I cure them. I want to see patients getting cured and be happy. One day I will fulfil my ambition.

Hope, wish, fantasy….

Call it what you may, everyone dreams of being someone or doing something different when they grow up. Some dream to be astronauts, rocket scientists, space explorers… Some dream of being clowns, comedians at a circus. Still others wish to be lawyers, doctors, cricketers or superstars.

The sky, as they say, is the limit to your dreams… But what’s the fun if you keep it all to yourself? So why not put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, and share with us what you want to be, when you grow up? You can mail your dreams, along with your photographs to husnakghs@ yahoo.com or send it by snailmail to ‘Junior Observer’, No. 35, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
