Minister Sagala Ratnayake yesterday ordered Inspector General of Police, Pujith Jayasundara to submit a report regarding the attempt to arrest the convenor of the Medical Faculty Student’s Action Committee, Ryan Jayalth. Ratnayake, the Minister of Law and Order is expected to make a statement regarding the incident in Parliament on Tuesday a press communique from the Ministry said.
The Minister has requested the IGP to present the report at the earliest possible opportunity.
According to the Police, Ryan Jayalath is wanted by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) for forcibly entering the Health Ministry premises and damaging property and therefore, would be arrested by the CCD shortly,
