3 September, 2017

All have their own favourite persons. It may be a family member or a national hero. My favourite person is the greatest Sri Lankan Kumarathunga Munidasa. Munidasa was born on the 25th of July 1887. He was a Sinhala poet and grammarian. He authored many Sinhala books such as Hathpana, Magul kema and Heen saraya. He also wrote children’s books which are popular among children even now. Kumarathunga Munidasa was a teacher and a principal. He had a knowledge of many languages such as Sinhala, Pali, Sanskrit and Latin. Kumarathunga Munidasa passed away on the 2nd of March 1944. Kumarathunga Munidasa was a hero of Sinhala literature. I like him because of his knowledge and his books. Kumarathunga Munidasa was a famous and great person of Sri Lanka.
