The all island schools Volleyball Championship for the DSI Trophy final round is to commence tomorrow at the Rajasinghe Maha Vidyalaya, Hanwella with a grand opening ceremony. The Championship is organized by the Department of Education will be conducted by Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation.
The final stage of the championship will see 400 boys and girls teams in action. The Championship is played under four age groups Under 13, 15, 17 and 19 for boy and girls.
On the first day, tomorrow boys and girls under 13 and under 15 girls matches are due to commence. The following day, Tuesday the Boys under 15 matches will be played while on the third day the under 17 boys could be seen in action..On the final day Boys and Girls final stage will be worked out.
The first round games covered districts of the island and the teams from these districts made their way to the final stage.
On the final day the Awards ceremony is to take place with the President of the Volleyball Federation Minister Power and Renewable Energy Ranjith Siyabalapitiya as the chief guest.
