Man returns home to find unknown woman in bed

17 September, 2017

SEP 8:

A California man arrived home on Tuesday to find Michelle Irene Watkins naked and asleep in his bedroom, according to a press release from Anderson police.

The homeowner told police when he arrived home it appeared the woman had helped herself to his fridge and shower.

Upon arriving home, the man told police he found “a sandwich with a bite missing from it on the kitchen counter top.”

An open drink had been taken from his fridge and left next to the sandwich.

The victim also told police female garments were found on the floor in the bathroom, the press release stated.

He then entered his bedroom, where he found Watkins, 33, naked in his bed. He woke her up, she got dressed and she attempted to leave the residence before police arrived.

Responding officers said they encountered Watkins on the porch of the unidentified victim’s home.

The victim confirmed that she was the woman found in his home, adding that she had cigarettes on her that belonged to him.

Watkins was detained “immediately.”

She was taken to the Shasta County Jail and has been charged with residential burglary, possession of stolen property and petty theft.
