St. Theresa’s Church (STC) Thimbirigasyaya launched its new Church website on September 30 during the fellowship following the Church Vespers on the eve of St. Theresa’s Feast.
Syscolabs partnered the Church Digital Committee in designing and developing the new site, free of charge, as their social responsibility project.

St. Theresa’s Parish Priest Rev Fr. Chandana Perera CSsR who was the motivator behind this digitalization project explained, “St. Theresa’s Church reaches out to the community in many little ways, and moving with the people where they go is relevant today.
Social media is a powerful medium that draws and links people and keeps them close-knit. Our church strives to link them with their Creator through our website and the very first Mobile Church App. too is now on everyone’s mobile phone.
We want people to experience the power of God at their fingertips. It’s our way of saying we care about you in our little way!”
STC launched Sri Lanka’s first Church App for Mobile in 2015 and is also active on social media through its official Facebook page, Twitter (StTheresasChCMB) and a YouTube channel.
STC is rich in heritage and at the same time strives to be technologically progressive and relevant.
The new site aims at giving accurate and relevant information on the parish activities to the community through several new features including, Events Calendar, Sermons, a Blog, a Link to Download or Subscribe to the Newsletters via email and other relevant features.
