The College of World Education is the brainchild of Dr. Frank Jayasinghe, an educator who has been responsible for the education of generation upon generation of students.

Having begun his carrier at Wesley College as a teacher and then moving to S. Thomas’ College Guruthalawa as Head Master and to S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia as sub Warden, he moved to a number of International Schools both locally and overseas, developing the quality of education in each school.

Throughout his carrier, he has amassed an immeasurable amount of experience and prior to establishing the College of World Education and taking on his role as the Managing Director of the school, he guided the students of Wicherley International school, overseeing its development from since its inception in 1985 and later developed St Nicholas’ into a full fledged International school.

In 1996, he established the College of World Education and its student body does not go beyond 250 students.

“College of World Education is a small school by intent,” he explained, stating the decision stems from keeping the welfare of the student in mind.
