Thirteen year old Sajan Priyamdu from Leeds International College, Panadura came up with a classy performance with the bat scoring 266 runs for his school in a Division III under 13 cricket match to gain a 254 run win over Baduraliya, Kamburawala MV played over the week end.
His star studded innings came in just 135 balls which included 26 fours and 18 sixes all round the wicket.
He also had a good day in the early stage of the game capturing two wickets for mere 16 runs . He was helped by a another good bowling performance by Lakshan Sameera who took 4 wickets to restrict the opponents for a low 88 runs.
For the losers only Rashmika Denuwan ( 41) played a patient knock.
Sajan’s superb knock indicates that he is a budding cricketer with a bright future.
