Link Engineering to build multi ethnic school in Polonnaruwa

Link Engineering, a part of the Blue Ocean Group, was recently awarded a mega development project by the High Commission of India.

As part of India’s development partnership with Sri Lanka in the field of education, Link Engineering will thus be responsible for the development of a multi ethnic tri lingual school in Polonnaruwa, funded by the Government of India. The project is carried out in consultation with the Ministry of Education.

The agreement in this regard was recently signed by D.C. Manjunath, Counsellor (Development Cooperation), High Commission of India, Colombo and S. Thumilan, Chairman, Blue Ocean Group in the presence of Arindam Bagchi, Acting High Commissioner of India and Ranjan Dharmawardana, Chief of Staff to the President of Sri Lanka. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and officials of Link Engineering were also present at the event.

Link Engineering is currently steering the development of 3 other mega projects, also funded by the Indian High Commission, which are namely; the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna in Kilinochchi, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna in Kilinochchi and Tagore Memorial Auditorium of University of Ruhuna in Matara.
