My ambition it to become a teacher

I am Rakshanaa. I study at Global International School and I am in Grade Seven. My ambition is to be a good teacher. I will be kind to my pupils. I will teach students carefully. I will teach them good habits. I will teach English, Science and Mathematics. Every day I shall give them homework. I will help them to do well in their studies. I will educate them to eat good food. I will tell everyone to be good friends. I will test their knowledge every week by giving them a test. I like to teach the upper grade students. I shall organise competitions. I love teaching, and I want to be a good and an exemplary teacher.

Call it what you may, everyone dreams of being someone or doing something different when they grow up. Some dream of being astronauts, rocket scientists, space explorers… Some dream of being clowns, comedians and running away to a circus. Still others wish to be lawyers, doctors, cricketers or superstars.

The sky, as they say, is the limit to your dreams… But what’s the fun if you keep it all to yourself? So why not put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, and share with us what you dream of being, when you grow up? You can mail your dreams, along with your photograph to [email protected] or send it by snailmail to ‘Junior Observer’, No. 35, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
