A stepping stone to reach the top in cricket - says Nalin

17 December, 2017

Mobitel Chief Executive Officer, Nalin Perera commented saying, “I am delighted to see Sri Lanka’s first ever school cricket awards show completing 40 years of resounding success.

It has remained the most looked forward to event in Sri Lanka’s school cricket calendar. Mobitel is honored to be associated with the Observer-Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year contest, which has produced many legendary Sri Lanka cricketers since 1978/79.

Winning a title at this event is a dream of all schoolboy cricketers and the Observer-Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year contest has remained the stepping stone for the big league. This will be the 11th consecutive year that Mobitel will be sponsoring this exemplary event. We have shared a great partnership with the Sunday Observer for over a decade - in hosting this great show to foster school cricket and appreciate milestone achievements of schoolboy cricketers.

Undoubtedly, this event has been a great source of encouragement and inspiration to schoolboy cricketers who are aspiring to play for the national team in the future. We wish them every success!”
