The annual Literary Festival of the Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat Division was held at the Cultural Centre hall, Maruthamunai recently.
The Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat Cultural Unit organized the event under the guidance and supervision of the Department of Cultural Affairs.
This ceremony was presided over by the Kalmunai Divisional Secretary M. H. Mohamed Ghani while Eastern Province Cultural Department Director M.C. Ansar was the chief guest.Ampara District Secretariat Cultural Officer T. M. Rinzan, prominent people of the area and staff were present.The Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat cultural forum presented the special award and several artists were honoured at the event. Prizes and mementoes for achievers were distributed by the guests.
