Dinadi, the little painter at preschool

Dinadi meaning ‘achievement' according to her parents, excelled in many areas at a tender age while still at preschool. Dinadi Risakya Bandara isl a preschool student at Jaya Sathara preschool at Embogama, Galgamuwa who has won many awards displaying her remarkable talents in art.

She achieved awards at the all-island art contest for preschool children, Aruna Dakina Rata in 2016 and 2017. She won the first place at the ‘Let’s care for elders’ art contest for juniors conducted parallel with the World Children’s Day by Independent Television Network (ITN).

Dinadi won second place at provincial level (NWP) and a Merit Award at National Level at the Punchi Picaso art competition conducted by the Bank of Ceylon 2017 and a Merit Award at provincial level (NWP) at the Atlas Sith Roo Art competition.

Dinadi’s parents being teachers, help her develop her talents.

She comes from Galkadawala, Ehetuwewa, a picturesque village lying at the foot of the Galgiriya Mountain. The surrounds of the village with its paddy fields, lake and temple provide her inspiration.

Her ambition is to be an engineer. Let’s hope her dream comes true!
