CCC School Cricketers on their 21ST tour

Under 12 squad: Disal Fernando (Capt), Sahan Dabare (V.Capt.), Prakash Gamaathige, Thenushka Nanayakkara, Trevin Nishantha, Anhiru Pinchabaduge, Thevindu Wewalawala, Kiran Perera, Hareesh Weerakkody, Aakash Kotuwella, Chandupa Tiranagamage, Arosha Herath and Viknesh Ravichandran.

Dulaj Kankanamge, Gaveshna Pelenage, Poorna Jayasinghe and Ashmika Mudunkotuwa.

The most popular premier Cricket Coaching School the well established Academy for Junior of Cricketers, under the direction of veteran and respected Cricket Coach. Nelson Mendis, will be making their 21st tour abroad, when they fly to Hyderabad India, today.

C.C.C. Cricket School which was started in 1998 has been in the forefront of junior cricket in Sri Lanka, producing the nucleus for junior school cricket teams in and around Colombo. Some of them have even graduated to represent National Junior Teams, whilst (07) seven of them did well enough to gain National honors, with the latest being Sadera Samarawickrama, who is currently doing national duty in India.

C.C.C. School of Cricket will be the guest of St. John’s Sports Coaching Foundation, Hyderabad the President of the Coaching Foundation. John Manoj former Indian State Cricketer the President of the Coaching Foundation has made elaborate arrangements to play ten matches each for the touring under 12 &15 teams. Manish Sharma another Ranji Trophy Cricketer from Hyderabad whose business commitments are in Sri Lanka and whose son is playing in the CCC U-15 team, is co-ordinating and helping in tour arrangements.Last year, CCC Cricketers enjoyed playing in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, and this year they will be playing in the famous Lal Bahdur Shastri International Stadium during the Tour.

This year, CCC C U-12 team will be led by wicket keeper/opening batsman Disal Fernando, and his deputy will be Sahan Dabare an allrounder who bats at No. 3 and bowls off spin.

The under 15 team will have experienced allrounder Thavisha Ranasinghe who led CCC U-14 Team at this year’s International Invitation U-14 Cricket Tournament, where they won the Championship. His Vice Captain will be Shyamsunder K rishnasriram a left arm orthodox spinner.

Tour Officials of the fifty strong CCC contingent will be Nelson Mendis (Chef de Mission), Ravi Subasinghe (Tour Manager), Manish Sharma (Asst. Manager & Tour Coordinator), Pamoda Weerakkody (Manager Logistics) Chandima Ranasinghe (Manager Welfare) and Dr. Siddhika Williams (Asst. Welfare). The two coaches on Tour will be Manoj M illa withanachchi (U-15) and Thusara Hitige (U-12).
