Beauty and the beast

7 January, 2018

The bold and beautiful Belle
Many a book she reads
The same old routine everyday
So for an exciting life she pleads.

* * *

One day her father went to town
And she asked him for a single rose
So he promised young Belle he'd get her one
And she waved at him as he goes.

* * *

The poor old man got lost
With him not even a bit of food
And as it was cold he looked around
And found shelter in a castle in the woods.

* * *

From that lonely garden
He plucked a beautiful rose
So a beast dragged him into a cell
And locked the great big doors.

* * *

When Belle went to find her papa
She found him in such a state
Coughing and spluttering, lying on the floor
She had to get him out at any rate.

* * *

So she pushed the old man out of the cell
Bravely locking herself right in
Then a shiny candle and a tiny clock
Peeped in and gave her a grin.

* * *

Days and days passed by
Everyday a petal fell
Off a lovely rose the best had got
When an enchantress put him under a spell.

* * *

So many days passed by
Belle and the beast became friends
Then people went to kill the beast
But then the tale won't end.

* * *

The last petal slowly fell
Hovering above the floor
But when Belle and the beast confessed their love
The spell existed no more.
