The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Sri Lanka continues its series of industry related lectures with the P.B. Karandawala Memorial Lecture titled ‘The Impact of Blue Ocean Economy to Sri Lanka’s Logistics and Transport Industry’ commencing 5.30 p.m., 25th January 2018 at the Victorian Hall, Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo.
Admiral (Dr.) Jayanath Colombage is a former Chief of the Sri Lanka Navy who retired after 37 years as a four-star Admiral.
He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Colombo, Defence Services Command and Staff College (Sri Lanka), Kotelawala Defence University, Bandaranaike Center for International Studies and Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute.

The Indian Ocean, which has been nourished for thousands of years by many rivers and tributaries, contains large quantities of commercially exploitable hydro carbons; gas and oil, and seabed minerals in addition to a rich diversity of living resources.
