Launch of #LoveCakeLove

Galle Face Hotel Colombo hosted a fellowship to mark the launch of #LoveCakeLove initiative, as part of a tourism promotional program combined with Valentine’s Day 2018. The project initiated by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) is supported by some top hotels.

From February 12 to 15, Galle Face Hotel, Colombo will serve love Cake as part of its High Tea menu. Anyone ordering tea or coffee in the hotel and says the words “I love cake”, will receive a complimentary piece of love cake.

The Hotel will also offer a complimentary gift of a love cake for anyone booking Valentine’s Day dinner.

The Cinnamon Lakeside will serve love cake as part of its High Tea menu. Cinnamon Life has organized a Love Cake cutting ceremony with performers at the opening night of the Sound of Music at the Nelum Pokuna.

Jetwing Colombo 7 will give love cake as a part of Valentine’s Day celebration, while the Shangri-La hotel will present variations of love cake at pastry outlets.

At Resplendent Ceylon (Tea Trails, Cape Weligama, Yala Wild), love cake will be served as part of the Afternoon Tea offering from February 10 to 18.

Love Cake will be served as arrival amenity from 12th to 16th and love Cake making classes will also be held throughout the same week.

The Ministry of Crab will have a unique love Cake recipe and dessert on the menu and the Dilmah Tea Longue will present tea pairings and tea-inspired love cake.

Café Kumbuk will have a healthier version of love cake – Love Cake Bliss Balls – on sale from February 10 to 14 and Sugar Group will offer a Love Cake cocktail and Love Cake ice cream as specials on the menu.
