Kasturi Wilson - Director, Capital Alliance

Capital Alliance (CAL), an investment bank, has appointed Kasturi Wilson as a non-executive Director to its Board.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and a member of the sub-committee on Economic, Fiscal and Policy Planning of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

Wilson is the Managing Director of Hemas Pharmaceuticals and Hemas Logistics and Maritime Sector of Hemas Holdings PLC and brings to the CAL Board a wealth of financial expertise and managerial excellence.

Having joined the group in 2002 as Finance Director of Hemtours (presently, Diethelm Travels), she was appointed as Head of Vishwa BPO, Hemas’s shared service unit, in 2005.

During her two-year stint there, she built a highly motivated business support team. From there, she went on to roles as Chief Process Officer of Hemas Holdings and as Managing Director of the Group’s transportation sector, and since April 2016 she has been the Managing Director of Hemas Pharmaceuticals and Hemas Logistics and Maritime.

Dell EMC appoints new Country Manager

Dell EMC has appointed Chrishan Fernando as the Dell EMC Country Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Fernando, who will be based in Colombo, was Country General Manager at IBM Sri Lanka for the past eight years, responsible for the growth of business. Before that, he was Country Manager at HP for 12 years, piloting operations in Sri Lanka while covering regional markets in South Asia.

New Country Lead at Cathay Pacific

Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways appoints Vishnu Rajendran as Country Lead – Sri Lanka and the Maldives based in Colombo.

Rajendran, who holds an Economics degree from the University of Mumbai, takes over from Aldric Chau who will move on to take another management position within the company. Vishnu has been with the airline since September 2008.

Before assuming the role of Country Lead - Sri Lanka and the Maldives, he has already been leading the commercial teams in Sri Lanka and Maldives as the Sales and Marketing Manager since July 2014.

Prior to that,Vishnu spent six years with the airline in South Asia in the roles of Regional Marketing Communications Manager and Asst. e-Business Manager based in Mumbai.

He previously worked with Air France-KLM in India.
