Teacher appointments were presented to 240 unemployed graduates in the Batticaloa district at the Weber Stadium in Batticaloa recently.
President Maithripala Sirisena who was the chief guest, symbolically presented 21 of the 240 letters of appointment.
Our caption story on page 3 of the Sunday Observer of March 4 inadvertently said that only 21 letters of appointment were presented.
We regret the error.
