The 112th Kandy’s Battle of the Maroons at Pallekelle Stadium ended in a draw. At the end of the first day Dharmaraja College who were 97 for 6 in reply to Kingswood College’s 166 were bowled out for 111 runs in 51 overs. In the second innings Kingswoodians declared at 184 for 5 in 40.4 overs and set a target of 240 runs for the Rajans to win and at close the Rajans were 158 for 8 wickets.
In the second innings, vice-captain Saumya Piyasena 60, skipper Ganindu Kamburugamuwa 57, Hashika Gamage 38 did well with the bat. Virajaith Ehelepola took 2 for 53.
