Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan and reserve player Nurul Hasan have both been fined 25 per cent of their match fees and also received one demerit point for incidents during their side’s Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Friday.
Shakib was guilty of “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game” while Nurul was found guilty of “conduct that brings the game into disrepute”.
Shakib was found guilty of gesturing his batsmen to leave the field of play while Nurul was charged with finger-pointing and causing a row with Sri Lanka captain Thisara Perera.
