Arie Lagoon: An Oasis in Negombo

1 April, 2018

With the tourism industry burgeoning in Sri Lanka, it comes as no surprise that there has been an influx of star-class accommodations being built in and around Colombo. Yet, everyone knows that the real attractions in this serendipitous island are found in the rural and suburban areas. Welikala Holdings Ltd. has crafted an exceptional 55-roomed, four-star deluxe property called Arie Lagoon in the picturesque fishing village of Thalahena in Negombo.

The property is built on an extent of over five acres of stunningly landscaped lagoon front gardens; the investment on this property comes at a whopping LKR 1 billion with high-quality facilities and amenities being provided en suite. This unique water front property has four different types of tastefully designed and decorated spacious accommodation which include five suites, says LakshmanWelikala, the chairman of the property. Opportunely located in close proximity to the Colombo Airport, the property is also a 30-minute drive from Colombo on the expressway.

Arie Lagoon also boasts two swimming pools: one of which has an infinity edge; there is also a conference/banquet hall that could accommodate 300 guests; a well-stocked wine lounge; two restaurants; a wellness spa with Balinese therapists; and a gymnasium.

The property offers direct access to both, sea and lagoon on either side, which would indubitably offer a benefit to the property. The main objective of Arie Lagoon is to provide guests who are discerning and crave the finer things in life, a distinctly different and unique experience, to feel they have got absolute value for money. It is this particular promise that bears the hallmark of what true and proper Sri Lankan hospitality is.
