Sri Lanka will be promoted as a social, economic and tourism hub through the ‘Miss Premier Ceylon with Miss England Sri Lanka’ event to be held on May 26, 2018 at Hotel Amari, Galle.
“We expect this event to attract more tourists to the country which will have beneficial effects on the economy and society. This is the first time that this beauty pageant is being held in Sri Lanka. The organizers hope to provide an equal opportunity to all participants on the merit of their talents,” Premier Ceylon Chairman Ruwan Padmawansa said. The contest will see local participants taking part in this international show and the winners will have the opportunity of visiting the UK with the sponsorship of Premier Ceylon. This will be an ideal opportunity for them to have international exposure and further their talents, he said.
The events management division of Premier Ceylon has partnered with Miss England Organization, United Kingdom to organize and manage exclusive beauty contests and pageants to the best of international standards in United Kingdom, United States, Europe and in Colombo, with the prime vision of flagging Sri Lanka into international arenas as a promising economic, social and tourism hub.
Premier Ceylon, venturing into high end hospitality is in the process of setting up branches in the United Kingdom, United States of America and Europe. The event will comprise two phases. Miss England Organization’s officials will be coming to Sri Lanka to stage Miss Premier Ceylon with Miss England for the very first time in Asia.
In the second phase, the selected Sri Lankan beauty queens will be offered the opportunity to ramp in the Miss England Finals in the United Kingdom.
