Anidda to be launched on April 29

A weekly Sinhala newspaper Anidda will be launched on April 29. The newspaper editorial board is made up of senior scribes in the local media fraternity. The 20 page paper will be a black and white publication which provides space for political, economic, social, cultural and art spheres in addition to critiques and dialogues.

The new publication will stand for democracy, governance, rule of law, human dignity and ethnic harmony, but also welcome critical and opposing the Anidda team said in its news release.

The *Anidda* publishers (guarantee) limited is a newly formed company of which the board of directors are Lal Wijenayake, Prof. Jayadewa Uyangoda, Prof. Sarath Wijesuriya, Activist Gamini Wiyangoda and Attorney-at-Law Upul Kumarapperuma while Ranjith Senerath Pathirana will be chief editor.

Sunday Observer recognises Anidda as a fellow traveller in the journey towards reform in Sri Lanka and wishes the new publication strength and success!
